B: Scooter Stampede: Mona’s too much of a speed demon to copy Wario’s motorcycle move! Mona summons her scooter and revs it up. As soon as it’s fully charged she lets loose.
B>: Bass Solo: Mona pulls out her bass and starts playing. She can shoot more sound waves by repeatedly pressing B. Soundwaves stun opponents.
B^: Baton Cheer: Mona uses her baton to helicopter up. Damage is dealt in a similar way to Wario’s Corkscrew, but faster.
B\/: Pet Pals: Mona summons one of her 3 animals. Elephant causes little damage but shoots straight, Pig shoots a soccer ball that flies up, and Monkey throws a banana.

FINAL SMASH: NAIL CALL: Mona points and a nail falls from the sky. Anyone around the nail when she summons it looks around confused. Then, a giant hammer smashes down 3 times hammering in the nail. Damage depends on how close the trapped opponent is to the nail.

Taunts: Up: Twirls baton around and yells “GO DIAMOND CITY!”
Side: Pulls out Bass and plays beginning of “Mona Pizza”
Down: Relieved sigh from first Warioware

Snake: Mei Ling, why is there a pizza delivery girl here?

Mei Ling: That’s Mona, she’s a delivery girl at Mona Pizza and Microgame creator at Warioware. Many consider her to be one of Wario’s best friends.

Snake: She works TWO jobs at THAT AGE?

Mei Ling: Not just there, she is also a respected band musician and an energetic cheerleader.

Snake: Wow, she sure can keep busy, how do her parents keep track with everywhere she goes?

Mei Ling: Well, they don’t really. Her father is an artist and her mother is a world traveling super model. Her father keeps himself locked up painting while her mother travels all over the world and rarely even sees her daughter.

Snake: Hmmm, perhaps that’s why she confides in Wario so much, because she has no other adult figure to look up on as much as him.

Mei Ling: Aww, that’s so sweet!

Snake: Blegh, not really.

Trophy description: Mona is one of WarioWare’s top Microgame creators. She is a high school student who is constantly changing jobs. Some of her jobs include Pizza Delivery girl, a Bassist, and a cheerleader.
The theme of her microgames is usually involved around strange things like nose-picking and evading giant feet. It is said that she draws inspiration for these strange games from her close friendship to Wario. She loves money and has even accompanied Wario on some of his adventures, and has even gone on some of her own.

Role in SSE:

Mona is driving along on her scooter when she is hit by Bowser’s shadow cannon. Just as he’s about to grab her, Dedede swipes her away, and Bowser goes to rally the koopa army to raid his castle. From there, story is normal. Mona is badged, Dedede’s castle is sent to subspace, and Luigi, Ness, and Mona revive Dedede. From there, when the team finds the Wario trophy, Mona is the first one to jump to it and revive him. Once Wario is revived, Mona glomps him, which the other 3 team members find very funny. Wario shoves her away and the scene plays as normal with Wario refusing to go with them. They walk away and Mona stays a little longer. She finally starts walking just as Wario speeds by on his bike, and Mona runs after him cheering.

Other stuff: when Mona runs, she skates.



My Mona smash bros moveset if they ever plan on another smash bros. squeal (which they will, if they paid attention to how many copies Brawl sold.) I imagine she would be very fast (as I said, speeding), and decent strength, but recovery wouldn't be as good. Oh, and if the only thing they reference in the Wario series is WarioWare, then just bite the bullet and have his symbol be the warioware bomb.
